Making an Impact at the Ballot Box

Since October 7, our community has confronted a rising tide of Jew hatred that we never thought possible in the United States. But we have realized, too, that if we come together, stem the tide, using our individual and collective voices, we can affect positive change that will result in a stronger, safer Orange County for us all.

Having supportive elected officials can allow us to promote policies that support our community needs, while blocking hateful campaigns working against us. The upcoming June Primaries will determine the top two candidates to move ahead to the November elections, and we all want to make sure that our favorite candidates will indeed make the cut.

How This Guide Was Prepared

To help you complete your ballot, our team has spent countless hours researching and meeting with candidates. For those at the state and local level—our areas of focus—we have also sent questionnaires seeking candidates’ views on matters important to our community.*

In this guide, we have shared our findings and recommendations. Our coverage spans all party affiliations and focuses solely on Jewish community concerns.

We did not conduct research or interviews on any other issues that may confront candidates.

We hope you find this guide helpful as you exercise this important right and privilege. Our community is a small minority, but our voice matters; especially in local races, where just a few votes can make all the difference. Thank you for your thoughtful engagement on these issues.
